The main Opposition INDIA bloc on Sunday asserted that despite facing “undemocratic obstacles” allegedly created by the ruling BJP, it is determined to preserve the democracy of the country, even as it called upon the Election Commission of India to guarantee a fair electoral process during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Among its five demands was also the release of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren.

Listing out the other demands at the ‘Loktantra Bachao Rally’ held at Ramlila Ground in Delhi, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the poll panel should stop the Enforcement Directorate, CBI and the Income Tax department’s actions against opposition parties being taken to adversely impact the elections, the Congress leader demanded.
